Cynthia Lee Surette
Cynthia was cited for ingenuity and variety at the
2009 Snow Sports Industry- SKI PRESS Edition for environmental
acknowledgments. She is currently the design director
for Chaos headwear and just introduced a line of environmentally
friendly headwear called ENVIRO-TECH.
The hats are recycled poly blend with wool and are
made of soda-bottle spun plastic for resilience and
thermal properties. Each product in this category is
lined with recycled fleece.
 Chaos has a Moon Shadow Peru collection with a sustainability
mission as well. The collection of hand-knit high end
headwear is sourced in the mountains of Peru. The Head
Knitter’s Guild is a small network supplier of
25 indigenous mountain pueblos who make headwear for
Moon Shadow in 100% alpaca and acrylic blends.
Sales are up 46 percent for the past year.
